Hi! I'm Michelle, the maker behind Michelle's Mudworks. I grew up in the small town of Logansport, Indiana, and attended Purdue University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts. My main concentration was painting and ceramics! I obviously fell in love with the latter and when I moved back home, I immediately started up my little garage pottery studio!
I love any and all things magical, weird and whimsy, hence the style of my work. I think maybe this style stems from my love for antiques/vintage, but also my love for Ghibli films and fantasy books. I'd like to think my ceramic pieces would fit right in Howl's bedroom from Howl's Moving Castle!
I currently live at home with my lovely mom and sister, who have been my biggest supporters. We have two chihuahuas, Piper and Peanut, whom I love dearly. In my free time, I am often spending time with my family or reading.
